CASH FLOW
Cash Flow worksheet can effectively handle models with dynamic cash flows. It is a powerful tool to calculate Net Present Value (NPV) or Internal Rate of Return (IRR) if either one is known. The related keys areCF, NPV, and IRR.
TIME VALUE OF MONEY
TVM worksheet can effectively handle models with constant cash flows. The related keys are N, I/Y, PV, PMT, and FV.
TRIGONOMETRIC FUNCTIONS
Trigonometric functions are functions of an angle. They relate the angles of a triangle to the length of its sides. The related keys are sin, cos, tan, HYP, and INV.
STATISTICAL ANALYSIS
Statistics worksheet can provide one variable analysis as well as two variable regressions. The related keys are DATA, STAT, and SET.
COMBINATION & PERMUTATION
Combination is a selection of items in a set such that the order of selection does not matter. The key for Combination is nCr. Permutation is arranging items in a set into some order or sequence. The order does matter here. The key for Permutation is nPr.
MATH OPERATIONS
The two common types of operations include unary operations and binary operations. Unary operations take one value and the binary operations involve two values.
NUMBER FORMAT
BA Calculator has two formats: the regular format and the scientific format. The regular format has “,” as the thousand separator. The scientific format has the decimal part before the letter “E” and the power of 10 after “E”.
Any number with an absolute value between 0.000000001 (billionth) and 10,000,000,000 (10 billion) will display as the regular format.
Any number with an absolute value under 0.000000001 (billionth) or over 10,000,000,000 (10 billion) will display as the scientific format.
Clear & Delete Entries
To delete one space, you use the Backspace Key. To clear the screen, you use the All Clear Key AC. If you are in Cash Flow Worksheet, 2NDAC will clear all the CF and FR entries you have made. If you are in Statistical Worksheet, 2NDAC will clear all the X and Y entries you have made.
Error Mode
There are chances that BA Calculator returns an error (divide by 0, number larger than 9.9999999999×1099, etc.). In such cases, you can use AC to clear the errors. Note: until the errors are cleared, only four keys will function: the Power key, the Backspace key, the Menu key and the All Clear key.
